User license type

avatar

Hi,

I wonder what the difference between the user license types ("Default", "Connection Management", "Password management") is? I've searched the docs, the FAQ and the forum. This property is mentioned several times, but I can't find an explanation of what is does.

Thanks
Stefan

Hello Stefanlorenz,

Thank you for contacting us on that matter!

Here's the difference between each version.

  • Default License: This is the default option for all users. It gives you access to Devolutions main features, allowing you to handle your tasks with some restrictions. These restrictions can be removed by upgrading to a more specific license type.

  • Connection Management License: This license is for users who need more advanced tools for handling remote connections. It enhances your ability to securely connect to and manage servers, workstations, and other devices using various protocols. It's perfect for IT professionals and system administrators who need more specific tools.

  • Password Management License: This license is designed for users who require advanced password management tools. It provides enhanced capabilities for securely storing, handling, and sharing passwords, credentials, and other sensitive data. It's ideal for individuals or teams focused on high security and efficient credential management.

Here's also, a link with an explanation of the comparison between each version (Free and Enterprise)

If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know.

Best regards,

Maxim Robert
