Seeking Assistance to Implement Terminal Keyword Highlighting Like MobaXterm

avatar

Hello fellow Remote Desktop Manager users,

I'm currently in the process of transitioning from MobaXterm to RDM and have encountered a particular feature from MobaXterm that I find indispensable – automatic keyword highlighting in the terminal. This feature allows me to easily identify and differentiate between various log levels, such as errors and successes, which significantly enhances my workflow efficiency.

Unfortunately, I've been unable to replicate this functionality in RDM. I am seeking any advice, scripts, or pointers on how I could achieve similar results within the RDM environment. Specifically, I'm looking for a way to automatically highlight the words "error" in red and "success" in green in a case-insensitive manner across all terminal outputs, akin to the convenience provided by MobaXterm.

Has anyone managed to set up this kind of output colorization within RDM? If so, your guidance would be greatly appreciated. I am open to utilizing custom scripts, plugins, or any settings that may be applicable.

Thank you in advance for your time

Hello Jose,

I think you're referring to our Syntax Highlighting Feature: https://docs.devolutions.net/kb/remote-desktop-manager/knowledge-base/syntax-highlighting/

Let us know if this helps.
