Good afternoon all.
I know it would possibly be a big project, but I am sure I speak for a lot of folks reading this post when I ask if you could think about implementing a brief description pop up on items within RDM? For instance...
I mean having a popup that says the same thing as the option that is available to check and/or uncheck is quite useless.
Just something very brief. Something like:
Check focus content of RDP activation
This option forces RDM to select and go to the selection in the list upon connection.
For more information, visit: http://docs.devolutions.net/RDM/Options.html#general
Now I know this also means that someone would have to update the extremely outdated screenshots that are included in your online documentation, as well as updating option changes that haven't seem to update since the second last major version update.
Even if it is just done in steps for the next few versions, I am sure quite a lot of people would be appreciative in the change.
Have a great day, and thanks for listening.

Hello Chuck,
Thanks for the request. As you say this would be really useful for our users. On our end, it's not so much a question of difficulty of implementation, but of the time it would take to implement and maintain to make sure the descriptions are accurate.
In 2024.1, we're implementing a similar feature to more easily see when settings are overridden by a configuration in the System Settings, in the same vein of what we have done for settings that are overridden by GPOs (with a hover text when the field is disabled due to a GPO/system setting).
I'll bring this up with our team and we will see if this is something that could be part of a future roadmap.

Thank you sir!
Have you folks thought about a scenario like other software vendors do? I am part of one where certain folks on their very selective team assist the software manufacturer with updating things they just don't have the manpower to do.
Once I make the updates I am assigned to, those updates are compiled and then sent to the software manufacturer. Once every two weeks, they themselves then compile all the results they received from the folks selected to do specific updates, and incorporate them to their software updates after a review process.
This would be a perfect scenario for something like that.

We do something similar when it comes to the translations of our products, most of our translations are provided by our community. You can read more about it here:
https://devolutions.net/localizer
https://docs.devolutions.net/rdm/commands/tools/tools/devolutions-localizer/
So it's not impossible that we would consider such a solution in the future when it comes to this feature.
