As subject. For a second I see a command prompt appear but with no result.
"Open VPN" works as expected.
SonicWALL NetExtender 10.2.338
RDM 2023.3.37.0 64-bit (Windows)
Hello,
Could you please provide more details about the issue you're experiencing? This will help understand and assist you better.
Best regards,
Carl Marien
Well,
I don't know how to provide so many additional details.
I always use the NetExtender plugin set on entries and using toolbar button (like context menu command) to start it, it always worked.
When I end my RDP/SSH/Etc session, I close the VPN but from the NetExtender GUI (tray icon) because the "Close VPN" RDM command doesn't work (it doesn't close the running VPN connection).
How can I provide more useful details?
Thanks.
Hello,
We are interested in arranging a remote session with you to closely examine and address the issue you are facing.
Would this be a convenient option for you?
Best regards,
Carl Marien
Sure, I can be available. Please contact me by e-mail for a schedule.
Thanks.
Tried today and it worked. I'm starting thinking that the real issue is my wrong toolbar focus: https://forum.devolutions.net/topics/41102/logoff-toolbar-command-hits-the-wrong-tab-and-disappears#186785
Hello,
Perfect. In that case, I believe a session is not necessary, and I can mark this thread as resolved.
Best regards,
Carl Marien
Well,
there's something anyway. Today, "close VPN" doesn't work as expected again. Can I ask how the command is issued? Is a general NetExtender close command or specific to an established connection?
Thanks.
Tested a bit.
Seems that NECLI disconnect command sometimes simply doesn't work (launched manually from powershell). Probably a NetExtender client issue at this point...
Tested again today: seems that double hit "Close VPN" works. Issuing the NECLI disconnect command a second time works. Dunno why.
Hello,
With your last post, do we understand that if you click on Close VPN it's not working, but double-clicking on Close VPN works?
Is it possible for you to post a small video?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Not really double-clicking but simply click one time, wait a second (or more) and then click again. Seems the same behavior from command line (so externally from RDM).
Hello,
Thank you for the details.
I will ask my team to try to reproduce the issue.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hello Nicola,
Thank you for being so patient.
Sadly, we were unable to reproduce the issue. As you can also reproduce it outside RDM through the command line, we recommend you open a ticket with the SonicWall support team.
In the meantime, if there is anything else we can help you with, please contact us!
Best regards,
Érica Poirier
Thanks Erica,
as I supposed, there's something with my NetExtender installation...
Nevermind.
