Did something happen to Templates with a recent upgrade? Mine are gone.
Hi,
I just tried to remote into a server and it didn't pass through my credentials. When I checked the session entry, it was set to Custom instead of Inherited. When I checked my other sessions, a bunch of them were also set that way. I checked for my template, to see if something had changed, and my templates are all gone.
Most of my sessions are set to Inherited, because the template used to be there. I don't know when it got deleted but I now have a bunch of sessions with the wrong settings.
Is there any sort of known issue that templates got deleted with a recent update or anything like that?
Thanks.

What data source type are you using? If you have an advanced data source, you can see the entry history (right-click > View > Entry History) to see what has changed. I'm not aware of any issue that would have made the setting changed, although there could a bug here that we are not aware of yet.

We do have an issue here with shared templates not getting loaded. CTRL + Refresh will force a reload of all the data and your templates will return. We have yet to find the root cause of this issue.

I'm using a local sequel sqlite data source. I had some local and shared templates. They were originally local but I had to copy them to Shared because the ad synchronizer can only see shared or something like that. When I looked a little while ago the shared and local tabs were both empty. I'm not at my computer at the moment but I will try the refresh you mentioned and see if anything changes.
OK now I get it.
You have a synchronizer that is configured to create/modify entries using a template. While running, since the templates did load, the synchronizer modified all/most entries and now you missing your information. This would explain the Custom/Inherited change.
If my theory is correct, if you make sure your templates are properly loaded and run the synchronizer again all should return to normal.
I will look with the team to see if we better stop a synchronizer from running if the associated template is not loaded/found. I think this would be wise.

When I looked at my synchronizer settings, the template area was blank because my synchronizers are gone. I will try to do the refresh and get them to show back up. If they do, I'll check my synchronizer again and see if they show back up in there as well. I will let you know what I find. Thanks.
I held Ctrl and clicked the Refresh button from the top left. My Templates are still gone. I'm on v3.36 if that matters. I'll try upgrading first in case that helps. If not, I'll just recreate them and resync and see what happens.
Can you double check that they were not deleted (by the upgrade), Administration > Deleted Entries?
