warning: Please check that your locale settings

hi all
i've got this warning connecting to ssh hosts:
perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
LANGUAGE = (unset),
LC_ALL = (unset),
LANG = "it_IT.UTF-8"
are supported and installed on your system.

if I connect to the same hosts by putty I don't have any error.
So, how can I configure locale settings for ssh connections?

Hi,

I think that checking the option "Skip environment variable setup" in the "Advanced" tab should fix this problem.
