Hello,
Thank you for reporting this to us,
Does installing the older version resolve this issue ?
I'd like to validate whether the issue is version related.
Previous versions can be found here: https://devolutions.net/remote-desktop-manager/home/previousversions/
Best regards,
I tried a couple of recent versions and every one failed. I finally backed up to 2023.1.9.0 and had success. It appears that the newer versions were trying to open previous connections windows and was hanging. With 2023.1.9.0, it warning me that the previous attempt had failed to open these connection windows and allowed me to tell it to not try to reopen them.
I suspect that if I upgrade with no existing connections windows, it will work.
I was wrong. While 2023.1.9.0 works fine, allowing the app to upgrade itself with no active connections still results in an application that hangs at startup.
Hello,
Would you be open to having me open a ticket on your behalf and sending you an email to schedule a remote session ?
I'd like to take a closer look at your RDM problem and see what we can do to resolve it.
Best regards,
Hi rhpatrick,
I've tried the latest version of RDM Mac (2023.3.10.2) on a Intel-based Mac mini and couldn't reproduce the issue. The application and it's main window launched without issue.
Could you try launching RDM, but from the command line and see if any errors appears in the Terminal window? Assuming RDM is installed in the "Applications" folder, you can simply run the following command line:
"/Applications/Remote Desktop Manager.app/Contents/MacOS/RemoteDesktopManager"
Best regards,
