Color Tab Groups and not just Tabs

This may be a feature add and not really a support request, I can move if so.

We use tab groups for segregation, but we don't see any ability to modify the color of the tab (or even do simple highlighting when its active vs inactive) are we missing a setting somewhere or is this not possible. Here is a picture to demonstrate (apologies for all the redaction).
