RDM window failed to load

avatar

Hello,

I encountered a problem with RDM. The window of RDM failed to load after opening the RDM second/third time (see the image in the attachment). Details below.

My OS version:
Windows 11 Version 23H2 (OS Build: 22631.2715)

RDM version:
2023.3.28.0 64-

How does the problem manifest itself?
When I open "Remote Desktop Manager (RDM)" from Windows start menu it will open without problems. However when it's already opened and minimalized (as window in taskbar) and I open it again from Windows start menu the main window will collapse. Sometimes I need to click 2 or 3 times until the window collapse. The result of collapse is that I am unable to see RDM at all and I can't work with it. I need to close the whole windows from taskbar or from Alt + Tab and start RDM again.
The result itself is on the image in the attachment.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this,

Would it be possible for you to create a portable installation of the latest version of RDM and see if this issue still occurs? To do so, you will need to do the following:

1- Download the .zip file below:
https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/thankyou/rdmbin
2- Create a new folder on your Desktop
3- Extract the content of the .zip file into the folder created at #2
4- Go to this folder once the .zip file has been extracted and run remotedesktopmanager.exe
5- Connect to your data source

Let me know,

Best regards,

Samuel Dery

Hello,

Thank you for the answer.

I tested the portable version as you proposed and I don't have this problem on the portable version. It seemed be some sort of issue within my installed RDM app or my Windows OS.
I reinstalled my RDM app and for now it's working without problems at least for now.

I will be testing it but seems to be solved.

Thank you kindly for you help! Have a nice day.

Best Regards,

Milan
