Custom Profiles

Hello,
I would like to request a way to assign certain users a specific allowed entries. Much in a way that we currently can choose IT Professional vs Business user, it would be beneficial to have further, customizable profiles, that can be assigned on group- or user-basis (we are using Microsoft Groups). For instance, I want certain users only to have RDP, SSH, Username/Password, Website and a Folder, nothing else. We have a mix of users, both business and IT professionals, but are mostly sorted into groups (departments).
Thanks
Srdan

Hello,

Thank you for the request. Just to better understand, in your case is it mainly that you would want to restrict the types of entries the user can create? Or is your goal to only let them see specific types of entries?
It might seem like a minor distinction but it can affect how we go about implementing such a functionality. Depending on it, the UI profiles might not be how we implement it, but instead choose a different way.

The goal is to allow the users create new entries, but when they open the create new entry dialog, only the sessions or items that I define should be in there. Reason behind is pretty simple, RDM as such is a quite complex, and can be overwhelming to a user who uses it only to work in it, but occasionally want to create an entry. So when he does want to, opening a menu that shows just couple of entries, is what makes it a little more clear. I am not talking about your daily IT-professional usage (mine), but we have a myriad of developers and people who are IT-stuff, but their main area of work isn't administration, so when it comes to RDM, they fall into an area "user".
It is more of a visual thing than a permissions. Otherweise I would block it on the permission-level.

Thanks for the clarification! I'll open a ticket for this.
