Keep RDP connection alive when switching between RDM and other apps
Hello,
On Android after having connected to RDP host, sometimes I will open the Recents screen to switch to apps and then switch back to RDM. In this case, even if the process would take only 3-5 seconds, RDM will still freeze the desktop to reconnect to the host and may ask for login credentials again.
Is there any option for me to keep the RDP connection alive when RDM is in background so that the workflow is not disrupted when I switch back and forth between apps?
Thank you and Regards,
Hi,
No, there is not option for that. We will investigate and see how we can improve this behavior.

Glad to hear there's some improvements made and and I'm curious to see how it works. Ideally we should be able to switch between apps quickly such as password managers etc. Some 1-5 minute delay before disconnecting the background session would be ideal. Official Microsoft RDP app works this way.
Any news here?
Version 2025.1.0.38 - the problem exists
Hello,
With the new version, how long does it take until you are disconnected ?

Hello everyone,
I manage around 400 servers with various operating systems, including Windows and Linux. I want to enable the “Keepalive” option to prevent remote sessions from disconnecting.
What is the easiest or most efficient way to enable Keepalive for all servers at once, rather than configuring each server individually?
Any suggestions, scripts, or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
