RDM 2023.3.1.1 for Android causing issues with barcode scanning

We use Remote Desktop Manager for Android on our handheld scanners because of an issue with Microsoft RDP not providing the clientname to the RDP server.

Everything was working great until our handhelds just were upgraded from 2023.2 to 2023.3.1.1 over the past week. Now when we use the barcode scanning functionality on these devices we get tabs inserted randomly between the characters scanned.

We have barcodes for logging into our system on the RDP server, but if you scan the username aap it might come across as a ap, or aa p. Has anyone else seen this kind of random insertion of tab characters after upgrading the version? Is there something in the settings we can change to resolve this.

I will try to sideload the previous version if there is an APK of that version.

Hi,

Barcode scanning issues were reported in the last update. We plan to release a new version today or tomorrow, incorporating fixes to address these concerns. Please le us know it the upcoming release fixes the issues that you've reported.

Version 2023.3.12 is currently rolling out. This version should fix the barcode issues.
