Hello!
I have an old ubuntu 8 Server for an project, but some functions like Nano give xterm-265colour errors.
I have looked the part like in other topics mentioned in the terminal tab at override type but there is nothing matching.
The settings i successfully tried in putty are in Terminal - Keyboard.
I tried to set in the Manager Tab in Keyboard function key mode to xterm, but it seems to be noch the correct setting.
I use the most current free RDP Manager version for Windows.
Im glad for every hint!
Thank you in advance!

Hello!
The server is Ubuntu Server 8.10 LTS
the connection is SSH.
I cant connect with your Program out of the box - i get the error failed to match - i have to enable older ssh algorithm like here: https://docs.devolutions.net/kb/devolutions-powershell/remote-desktop-manager/ssh-algorithm-support/
But even now i have the same error like in my Installation.
I saw a function to overwrite the terminal type, where you enter something with text - i cant find anything about the function in the guide and web i could not find anything and chatgpt was rather vague too.
Thank You!

Hello,
Could you please try connecting to the remote PC using a different application? This will help us determine if the issue is specific to RDM.
Best regards,
Carl Marien
I tested putty and got the same error - i had tho set at connection - data to xterm and its running nano as usual.
I entered the error in chatgpt and it told me about thereason and about the correct "codec" to use.
If those settings equals the one in the RDM override terminaltype it seems in the RDM the setting at this part is not equally recognised.

I got it now!
I had to use "xterm" in small letters:
