We have an SSH based application that opens a text menu on successful login, and the user is able to choose an environment and application to use.
This works normally in the native application and putty, but when trying to connect using RDM we have a display issue where the menu page is being skipped and it only displays the item entry:
Expected result:.png)
Actual result using RDM:
Which display parameters would affect the menu layout as shown above, or is there another setting or change I would need to make in RDM so this would work properly?
Thanks for any help.

Hello clreed13,
Thank you for contacting us on that matter.
Could you tell me if this issue occurs with the latest version of RDM?
Could you tell me which type of data source you are using?
Does this issue occur with all of your users?
Could you import your Putty session in RDM and try one more time?
Best regards,
Patrick Ouimet
Thanks Patrick.
Using 2023.2.32.0 64-bit
Sorry, I'm not sure what you are referring to with data source?
we're three users, and it's happening consistently with all three users.
I did import putty into RDM and that does work. Acceptable workaround as far as I'm concerned but not sure about the other two. I toyed around with some terminal/display options but dont really see anything with your client that differs from the putty one display-wise.
Hello,
Thank you for this swift reply.
Could you send a recording of this issue in a .trp?
Simply name your file “SF-SSH-Forum”.
Best regards,
Patrick Ouimet
I am having the same issue with the same application over SSH.
I did notice when sitting at the prompt to select a menu item there is a scroll bar and I can scroll up to find another line of text, but it is still not the expected menu.
SSH launches and goes to this prompt:
After scrolling up I can see this:

Hello dhayes,
Thank you for your feedback.
Could you please let me know which version of RDM you are currently using? Is it the latest version? If not, could you update RDM and try again?
Additionally, could you specify which application your SSH is connected to? Are you experiencing the same issue with Linux servers or switches?
Best regards,
Patrick Ouimet
