Alternate host via RD Gateway

We have RD Gateway set to connect if unable to ping/scan a local IP address
RDM is set to connect to local IP address as primary, with the external IP address as "alternate host"
However, it appears that when RDM scans the primary and is unable to connect, and instead tries the "alternate host" it does not use the RD Gateway.

Can this be fixed?

Hello,

I want to be sure I understand your configuration. From what I understand you have your RD Gateway configured in the VPN/Tunnel/Gateway tab with the mode "Connect if unable to ping/port scan" like this:

And in that same entry, you have an alternate host configured in "Ping" mode, like this:

And using this setup, RDM ignores the VPN, is this correct?

Out of curiosity, did you try checking the "open VPN before" box in the alternate host section? Does it change the behavior?

If you can confirm this doesn't work, we will open a ticket to support this behavior.
