Hello everybody,
We are really happy to release RDM 2023.3 beta version.
This is a major update and requires a database update, but the new database format is compatible with the previous version.
Please backup your database before installing this beta for maximum safety.
Please report your issues in a separate thread to simplify the follow up. We have some instructions depending of the data source you use:

Hello,
Thank you for the suggestion about the Improvement section. This was announce last year in a blog. The support for MySQL always been a nightmare for us. I understand that a lot of people like this database but unfortunately we no longer have the expertise and the resources to support it.

Hi,
Thanks for the explanation, in fact I was surprised to even get alerted of your reply by email because for some reason the last time I was never receiving any communications from Devolutions to my mail server so something must have been recently "fixed" since then.
Any way, it wasn't the best way to find now and now I'm stuck. Does the built-in data source of RDM allow for concurrent/shared access? I really don't want to add another flavour SQL server to my homelab, especially something as bloated as SQL-Express just for one application.
Cheers,
Fernando

Hi Etienne,
Thanks for reaching out, I do appreciate the thought but I'm not sure what this will achieve and don't want to be wasting your time. I only use the product for myself so the loss of a shared database isn't the end of the world, just an inconvenience for the moment, I just hope that by reverting to the built-in database I don't have any issues - it's not like I ever run RDM multiple times, just from different places.
When upgrading to the later versions will I be offered to export the database or do I have to do this manually beforehand - this isn't clear to me?
Cheers,
Fernando
Hello,
We do recommend exporting before updating to the latest version. If I could do a suggestion, I believe Hub Personal would be a good fit for your case. https://docs.devolutions.net/kb/hub-personal/how-to-articles/integrate-hub-personal-rdm/
