RDM free is asking for Security Provider Passphrase every time it opens. Can't get past it.

A teammate of mine installed RDM free (Windows) and had a vault loaded. He was adjusting some passwords and made some change he's unsure of. Now the program is asking for a Security Provider Passphrase every time he opens it. He uninstalled/reinstalled and it's still asking for it. However this got there, it was set up unintentionally and we do not use this feature. How do we get rid of it or bypass it?

In that case, would it be possible for you to create a portable installation of the latest version of RDM and see if this issue still occurs? To do so, you will need to do the following:

1- Download the .zip file below:
https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/thankyou/rdmbin
2- Create a new folder on your Desktop
3- Extract the content of the .zip file into the folder created at #2
4- Go to this folder once the .zip file has been extracted and run remotedesktopmanager.exe
5- Connect to your data source

This test will allow us to rule out your local installation of RDM as a possible cause for this issue.

Hello,

I just updated the RDM to the latest version, post that I configured an Application Password in it & MFA using Google Authenticator. Now when I'm opening the application, its asking for the two methods, but then after entering the code, its asking for the Passphrase of a Security Provider, which I did not configured. How can i fix this and get my connections back?
