Wrong sort order when using wariables in "name"

I have created the following folder entry:
Regards Lars
But in RDM (2023.2.28.0 64-bit) it is sorted first (Probably because it gets sorted by $):

Hello,
I wanted to let you know that I have replicated the issue you reported and have forwarded all the relevant information to our developer. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to identify a solution at this time.
