Option to show blank/black screen for the user after connecting to the machine. Or there is already such option?
Hello,
Could you give us more information as to what you're looking to achieve? What entry type are you using? And what would be the point of this blank screen being shown?
Regards,
Hubert Mireault
Hi Hubert,
To ensure privacy protection, the content of the remote screen is hidden. While the remote computer screen becomes concealed, this does not apply to the remote controller. A similar function is employed by TeamViewer. https://community.teamviewer.com/English/kb/articles/50966-teamviewer-black-screen
Currently using FreeVNC, is there a method to implement this? If not through FreeVNC, perhaps using an alternative solution?
Hi,
You mentioned FreeVNC, so I assume you would like such a feature with VNC? There is a "curtain mode" option available with Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) but off the top of my head I don't think any of the other VNC variants have such a feature.
Since a curtain mode feature needs to be present in the server before we can use it in our client, we are limited to supporting servers that have such a feature.
Can you elaborate on which VNC server you are using and if it has such a feature? We support a lot of VNC variants, so if you can point us to something we could implement in our client that we haven't done yet, we could take a look.
Otherwise, we cannot provide the curtain mode feature ourselves because that would require a custom server which we don't have.
