How to manage data sources for users in RDM.

I see, indeed you could include the data source configuration in a custom installer of RDM, we have the following knowledge base article regarding custom installers:

Alternatively, you could generate an export of the data source configuration that your users can import, we have the following knowledge base article regarding this:

I think it would be easier to use this:

Terminal Services / Remote Desktop Services - Devolutions

That´s the way we do it. Creating a Custom Installer for every version makes no sense, a file can be easily distributed to all clients.

Indeed if you're in a Terminal service environment, then using the Default.cfg method would work as mentioned by Andreas.

not only in a terminal server environment - also for normal workstations I think this is the best solution so far. Because I don´t need to rebuild the base setup every time a new version comes out.

The best solution would be, to provide all those settings via GPO... :)
