Hello,
I'm using RDM MacOS 2023.2.6.2 and it appears that when you have logging enabled for a SSH session it does not create the folder if the folder does not exist. If the folder exists, the logging works fine.
I will ugprade to latest version, but i dont see that listed in release notes as a fix.
Thank you.
Hi,
I could reproduce the issue, I'll open a ticket, and we will post back when a fix is available.
Best regards,

Hi,
Could you confirm with me if you configured the "Log mode" at "Printable output"? This is the only mode with which I could reproduce the issue.

Xavier Fortin
Yes. Printable. Not really sure what the diff between printable and "event" are. I want all the commands, all the output logged. (i understand the security ramifications)
And set to append. I have the file name set to:
/path/to/folder/SSHLogs/$NAME$_$DATE_TEXT_ISO$-$TIME_TEXT_ISO$.log
So, append is not really relevant unless i tried to open multiple SSH sessions to the same object at the same second in time. I want all my sessions logged for record keeping and i dont want them overlapping. Would be nice if a second session would just create ./SSHLogs/$NAME$_$DATE_TEXT_ISO$-2.log if an existing file was already there. But it doesnt--so i just added the time_text_iso and it's fine.
I've fixed the issue with Printable Output not creating the file if the folder does not exist. This should be available in the next release of RDM Mac (2023.2.8).
