Citrix Workspace support

avatar

Hi

Is it possible to grab the windows launched by Citrix Workspace?

One of our customers run Citrix Workspace, where we login on a webpage and on that webpage clicks on a VDI Windows 10.
The web part of running fine, of cause, but it launches a new window for the "RDP" session.
Can that session be directly available from Devolutions?

I don't know much about Citrix but as far as I can figure out the ICA file can't be imported to RDM anymore, if Citrix still relies on ICA files.
So not sure what else to share, so please ask :)

RDM: 2023.2.14.0 64-bit
Data source DVLS version: 2023.2.2.0

Hello Lars,

Thank you for contacting us on that matter.

I will create a new case and send you a link to schedule a meeting.
Doing so, we will be able to look at it together and I will be able to really understand.

Best regards,

was anything resolved with this?
I also have a customer that uses Citrix workspace that launches in the web. from there I have 4 VDI windows 10 RDC connections or 4 web applications I can choose from.
would like to get all this within RDM as well

No I don't think so. They put it on me to contact Citrix and hear if there is an API or other "interface" that devolutions could program up against.
And to be honest, that wasn't a task I were up for doing.

But maybe things have changed now.

Hello,

Thank you for this feedback.

It's been a while since I checked.
Also, to implement a feature in RDM, we need to have something to work with.
An API or a command line that will launch it.

Note that the web application can be opened using a web entry in RDM.

well i am finding tons of API docs based on Citrix workspace. unknown if any are useful:
https://developer-docs.citrix.com/en-us/workspace-platform/unified-workspace-api-preview/getting-started.html
https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-workspace-app-for-windows/sdk-and-api.html
https://developer-docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-workspace-app.html
https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-cloud/sdk-api.html
https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-endpoint-management/rest-apis.html

I am not a developer and do not know what APIs are useful or not. I just have citrix workspace provided by a client that I use to connect. I have "Citrix Workspace 2405" currently installed. Which I can either launch it and access their cloud dashboard or I can launch the cloud dashboard in a browser https://clientname.cloud.com/Citrix/StoreWeb/#/home
my login also sends me through login.microsoft and DUO for authentication and MFA. not sure if this would be the case for all users or just how my client has it setup.

Hi Patrick,

Thank you for the information. For now, we can't provide any guarantee as when we can start investigating this. But we will add it to our TODO list and keep it under consideration.
