Hello team. I am on version 2023.1.29.0.
I am using username/password to connect to SSH sessions. There are two separate, but related, issues here:
1- If I right click on my SSH session and choose "Open with Parameters -> Open Embedded (SFTP)"... it doesn't work at all. I don't see files in my Linux server listed.
2- if use SCP instead (Open with Parameters -> Open Embedded (SCP)", then I do see the files and I can navigate them. However, if I try to download a directory to my local computer, it doesn't download all its files. it only downloads one file from the directory.
Same issue found with tens of servers I have.
I use other clients and I can use both SFTP/SCP with no problem. I can navigate through files and download full directory with all its content downloaded.
I hope you may get it fixed.
Thanks.
Andy
Hello Andy,
Would it be possible for you to create a portable installation of RDM and see if this issue still occurs? To do so, you will need to do the following:
1. Download the .zip file below: https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/thankyou/rdmbin
2. Create a new folder on your Desktop.
3. Extract the content of the .zip file into the folder created at #2
4. Go to this folder once the .zip file has been extracted and run remotedesktopmanager64.exe
5. Connect to your data source.
This will tell us if the issue is tied to the local installation of RDM.
Thank you in advance for your help, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Carl Marien
Hello Carl and thank you.
It shows the same issue with portable RDM version 2023.2.14.0 that I just tried now.
by same issue I mean:
1- SFTP doesn't show files.
2-SCP can't download folders and their content.
Best,
Andy.

Hello,
Before we proceed to create an internal ticket, could you please attempt to recreate your entry using the same credentials?
Best Regards,
Carl Marien
Hello Carl.
Sorry but I don't exactly understand what you want me to do.
Shall I duplicate the session and try to scp/sftp again? or you want me to create a brand new session with same credentials?
Kindly, explain what I must do exactly and I'll test and let you know.
btw, I updated 2023.2.14.0 and it shows same behavior as the portable version.

Hello,
Sorry for the misunderstanding
could you attempt to create a brand new SSH entry using the same credentials?
Simultaneously, could you also create an SFTP entry with identical credentials and try to connect to see if any issues arise?
Best Regards,
Carl Marien
