For some reason I'm unable to sync the tags from vSphere into RDM even though I add the variable $TAGS$. I'm using the VMware synchronizer tool for RDM. Why is this?

Any update with this please?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this,
I have a few questions which you can hopefully answer.
That being said, from my understanding the $TAGS$ variable will return the content of the "Tags" field for the entry itself, for example, it could be used in the "Name" field to return the content of the "Tags".
Let me know if this helps,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
It is version 2023.2.11.0 64-bit, and we are connecting to an Azure SQL database. When I write $TAGS$ it only returns the word $TAGS$ and not the actually tags we can see in vSphere.

For example this server in vsphere has these tags but when I check the same server in RDM I see this:

Hello,
Thank you for your reply,
This would be the expected behavior, the $TAGS$ variable will return the content of the tags field inside RDM. When using your VMWare Synchronizer entry are the TAGs also added to the imported entry Properties?
Let me know,

Is it possible to sync the tags from vmware to the tags in RDM?
Hello Nas,
Thank you for your patience,
As mentioned during our session unfortunately at this time from my understanding this would not be possible,
That being said, I've reached out to our engineering department regarding this and will keep you updated with any news I receive,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
Please let me know as soon as possible when this gets implemented.
Hello Nas,
Thank you for your reply,
Of course, I would recommend you demonstrate your interest in the existing feature request thread regarding this which you can find here:

We use this interest to prioritize the features we implement.
We will also be posting any news regarding this request in that thread directly.
