Save Templates and Favorites when exporting Vault to RDM v2
0 vote
Good morning all.
Is there a reason why the Export Vault feature cannot be updated to include Templates and Favorites when exporting to an RDM file?
I mean if someone needs to Export the vault to an RDM file, it should backup everything done.
In troubleshooting for the "can't create backup" issue, I exported my vault to an RDM file, and completely forgot the Favorites and Templates aren't included.
It is a PITA to go back through and remember what all was there over the course of the last year.
Thanks!

Hello,
What data source type do you use? We try to include as much information in the export but this is not a backup file. It would be easier to backup restore a SQL Server database instead.

I am using the available SQLite.

Hello,
I think in you case it could be simpler to just copy the .db files for a full backup.

OK. That makes sense.
Also, something new I found after my 2nd day of searching... LOL
The Online backups that are automatic when an entry is modified, added, deleted, etc., include a full DB backup?

Hello
The online backup is only a simple export of the current vault and it's not a full backup. We have on our internal roadmap to improve the backup system to export to a local file that could be synchronized on your own file cloud (DropBox, OneDrive, GDrive...) and I will try to include a full backup at the same time.
