ARD - Stretch to Fill as Default

avatar

Hello, I am testing RDM to connect from my Windows 11 system to a MacBook using ARD protocol. I can't seem to find a way to make the default behavior be smart sizing with stretch to fit. Is there a way to have it be the default? If I have any kind of network blip the session resets back to smart sizing with stretch disabled.

I would also love to fullscreen the ARD session as well but I don't see an option for that anywhere. So I assume it's not implemented currently.

Hello Sam,

Sadly, there is no option available to make the default behavior stretch to fit or to full-screen an ARD session.

Hello

Just a small update for you; RDM Windows 2023.2.9 was released today and the ARD session settings contains a toggle for "Preserve Aspect Ratio". If you unselect this, your session will launch stretched-to-fill by default.

I hope this helps. If you have further question or comments, please don't hesitate to post back

Kind regards,
