Most of our users have 2-3 monitors for their Chromebooks.
When they launch a new connection (new or saved) it asks what monitor they would like.
I would like to be able to set the monitor by default per saved connection or globally.
Thank you for your feedback. We will create a feature request for this.
Best Regards,
Nicolas Dufour
Hello, we have reviewed your request.
Unfortunately, there is currently no way to implement this feature correctly because most Chromebooks are still stuck on Android 11 and cannot be updated at the moment. This is a problem because the Android API does not provide us with any additional information about the display, such as the Physical Display ID (Manufacturer Display ID), manufacturer, etc. Therefore, we are unable to obtain consistent and stable information about the display to accurately determine which display is currently plugged in.
When Android 12 is released for most Chromebooks, it will be possible to implement this feature as the associated API in that OS allows us to retrieve much more information about the connected displays. We will then be able to correctly save the display you want to use as the default.

Fascinating.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know. I'll let my team know and we can wait for that.
