Hi guys,
Great product you have here - I'm evaluating it to switch away from Royal TS as we need Linux support. So far so good. However the font we like to use for SSH (and any coding IDE etc) is Adobe's Source Code Pro Medium. For whatever reason, RDM is rendering this oddly, especially when it comes to spacing.
I've been fiddling with the font settings and SSH default overrides etc but nothing seems to change it. Screenshot includes RDM at the top, then putty, then Royal TS for comparison. Is there something I'm missing, or is it a limitation?
Thanks,
Dan

Hi,
Thank you for your appreciation and feedback.
Apparently, for an unknown reason, RDM does not resolve to the correct font. We will try to see what could be causing this, but in the case where we can't reproduce the bug in our environment, we will add some information logging in the next version in order to get clues for what the problem could be on your system.
Is it possible the font you are using has a proportional version as well as a monospace version?
Regards
Denis Vincent
It seems to only be a monospace font: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Source_Code_Pro
Github for the font itself is here: https://github.com/adobe-fonts/source-code-pro
I've tried a few other monospace fonts with similar results to the screenshot I provided. Though I've also found one or two that *do* work. FWIW, this seems to be the case on both Windows and Linux. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but it'd be awesome to continue to use that font!
Hope that helps, and let me know if you need anything else from me.
Cheers!
Hello,
Just to let you know, Denis has made a fix for this issue. That fix should be available in RDM 2023.2 coming this June.
