update fails to close running application
I have set my app to keep running in the taskmanager. Due to this, the installler cannot close it to perform an update. can this be changed since the should happen wen I choose 'close application'

May I ask how you configured this ?
My guess is whatever you set is essentially blocking any attempts RDM has to shutdown the application.
This means that in order to get the update to actually work you may need to allow RDM to be closed in the Task Manager.
