Hello,
we use custom icons for the objects in RDM. Until now all icons were stored in the database.
But since the update to version 2013.1.x the saved icons are not displayed anymore.
How to get the icons displayed again?
Thanks.
Kai

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us on that matter.
What data source type are you connected to?
Are you using RDM 2023.1.15 version on Windows as it contains a fix for the new Global images feature?
Best regards,
Érica Poirier
Hello,
we are using version 2023.1.15.
The problem is with a local database (SQlite). There the tab "Global" does not exist.
The same is with MS-SQL database: you can add custom icons, but they are visible ONLY for this entry.
If you want to use the icon again, you have to load it from the hard disk again.

Kai
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback.
About the SQL data source, we now need to store the images in the Global section to have the images available for any entries. This feature now stores the images in a centralized table in the database. This is to reduce the size of the database.
Regarding the SQLite, that's the side effect of this feature as it doesn't offer global image management as the Advanced Data Sources offer. Our engineering team will discuss about this behaviour and will try to find a solution. We will post in this thread once an update will be available.
Thank you for your patience.
Best regards,
Érica Poirier
Hello,
We've reintroduced the previous custom image behavior for data sources that don't support the global vault.
In version 2023.1.18.0, you'll be able to use images from all entries like before.
