I am looking for a support for RDP session for Azure Virtual Desktop. Importing the RDP from %LOCALAPPDATA%/rdclientwpf does not really solve the problem, since this RDP becomes invalid after sometime.
Hello,
Just to clarify, you wish to see Azure Virtual Desktop authentication be implemented in RDM within RDP entries to allow these sorts of connections with the MSRDC engine, correct ?
Do you wish to see them in external or embedded mode ?
Best Regards,
Yes, you're right and I am always using RDP sessions in the external mode. So maybe it is enough to start msrdc.exe from within RDM.
Hello,
In that case, I've opened an internal ticket for our engineering department to look into and linked it to this forum.
We will look into the possibilty of having this feature.
Best Regards,
Hello
I've been looking into this ticket and we discovered that our integration got broken by a recent MS RDC update (they changed the layout of some internal functions - you can read more about how we integrate into MS RDC in this blog post). We have fixed that issue but I'm afraid the fix didn't make it in time for the 2023.1.15 update; it should be in the next version.
To go back to your original question, it sounds like what you need is some kind of synchronizer for the Azure VD feed. But I'm not sure what you mean when you say "[the] RDP becomes invalid after sometime". I haven't observed that on my side - do you see some property changing in the .rdp file(s) which breaks the integration? Can you offer any more details?
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have further questions or if something isn't clear
Thanks and kind regards,
