I am repeatedly having issues with RDM freezing with the following screen during SSH connections:
It seems to be primarily when I do a shutdown from the CLI terminating the connection. I am left with no ability to click OK, X out, quit RDM, etc. and must go through Task Manager to force close. The entire RDM window is unresponsive to any clicks. Have had this occur on a couple different connections.
Windows 11 Pro, Version 22H2, OS build 22621.1265
RDM 2022.3.35.0 64-bit
Hello,
Just to be clear, did the issue only begin after an update ?
If you have an older version you can use to test, does the same behaviour occur ?
Were any modifications made to the SSH entries recently ?
Best Regards,
I do not think it has been only after an update, but I am not 100% sure.
I do not have any older versions.
No SSH changes were made.
Hello,
Understood, could you tell me which data source type you're using in RDM ?
I would like to see if updating the application to the latest version would help, but I want to be sure the proper precautions are taken before you update.
Best regards,
An XML file (if that is what you are asking) locally hosted
Hello,
Understood, could you try opening an SQLite and telling me if you get the same issue from that data source ?
I would like to see if the issue may be data source related.
Best regards,
My SQL skills are not that strong, so not sure how to go about doing that exactly. Is there an easy conversion method?
Hello,
Creating an SQlite data source is actually fairly simple,
Simply go to File > Data Sources and select the "+" button to add an SQLite data source.
You'll just need to add a name for the data source and a password, and a file will be generated in the file path mentioned in the "Database" field.
Once you've opened it, simply recreate the entry, and let me know if you get the same results as in your XML.
Thanks !
Best regards,
