Hello,
when I upload an attachment, the filename in RDM is the actual full path to the file e.g. filename = "C:\DATA\Banking\here\is\some\important\file.pdf", which looks terrible.
Files that were uploaded in the past have just the actual filename as filename e.g. filename = "file.pdf".
Why was this changed and why can't we change the filename back to something normal?
Hello,
Thank you for reporting this problem.
I can reproduce the same behaviour internally. A ticket has been sent to our engineering department. Once an update will be available, we will post it here.
Best regards,
Érica Poirier
Hello,
A fix has been implemented internally and it will be available in the next RDM beta version 2023.1.8.
For your information, the official release is planned for mid-March.
Let us know if that fix works properly on your end once you will update RDM.
Best regards,
Érica Poirier

Hello,
What data source type are you connected to?
The issue is fixed when a new attachment is added. But the existing attachments that were added when the full path was used are not modified with this fix. Is it the case for the Microsoft365 sottoscrizione.pdf file in your screen capture?
Best regards,
Érica Poirier
Microsoft365 - versioni.pdf
is a file earlier than the current version
Microsoft365 sottoscrizione.pdf
is a file with the current version 2023.1.26.0
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback.
The main issue that was fixed is related to the Title column and not the Filename column.
If you switch to the Tiles view, then you will notice that only the filename is displayed.
I will ask our engineering if the Filename column could be also modified to not display the full path.
Thank you for your patience.
Best regards,
Érica Poirier

Hello,
After a discussion with our engineering team, the Filename column displays the full path and that is the expected behaviour.
Let us know if you have further questions about this.
Best regards,
