RDM / DVLS: Wrong active Session Information

avatar

RDM Enterprise 2022.3.35.0
DVLS: 2022.3.12.0

Hi All

It looks like, that the Hover Informations about the active/current Session is not correct.

Example of a Session:

Compared with the Connection Logs:

It seems that this is displayed for all Users in our Company (checked with 5 other Peoples).
Doesnt matter if i refresh or change the Vault or completely close RDM and reopen.

Im not sure if this Problem is related to RDM since we are using DVLS Server as Datasource. But on DVLS Web this Feature is not available which is the reason im posting this Problem here.

Best Regards,
Andreas

Hello Andreas,

If you go to the opened sessions in RDM (F8), change the filter at the top to Running session (Global), do you see the same information that Michele is running the session? It is possible the session was not closed properly, if so, you can flag the connection to be closed there.

For more information, you can refer to https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/view_navigation_openedsessions.html

Hi Richard

Thanks for the Information.
I've just checked the global running Sessions, but Michele is not listed there.
On the specific Server it displays still Michele.

Andreas

Hello Andreas,

Did you upgrade recently to the 2022.3 version? There were issue in the previous version (2022.2) that the opened sessions would not clear properly, and they had to be removed from the SQL database manually. If so, they would need to be removed once from the SQL database, in the ConnectionState table, and you should be good after.

We can always check in a session, simply write to service@devolutions.net

Hey Richard

Its quiet a while ago, but the Problem exists also since a longer time.
We just never gave it a little bit more attention 😁

I will try and check if the Problem persists.

Thanks,
Andreas

Hello Andreas,

Not a problem. If it does persist, we can verify in a remote session, as I mentioned; simply write to service@devolutions.net.

Can i just simply clear the whole Table (Truncate)?

Hello Andreas,

Yes, you can, but I would first recommend flagging all the global sessions to close first, so your activity logs are as accurate as possible. Once done, you can clear the table and you should be all set after.

We also recommend doing a backup of the SQL database, just in case.
