Resizing the docked RDP window

Resizing the docked RDP window

avatar

Lets say a user opens a RDP session with RDM window not full screen, then they full screen the RDM window. Is there a way to make the RDP window expand along with it?

Also, I have a user who keeps her monitors at 1080p. She signs into a specific VM and then it goes to a different, much higher resolution while within the session, despite her setting being "automatic". If I try to hard set a resolution in options, then the screen size will be that pixel count and still be very small. So lets say the RDM window is 15 inches. I want 1280x720 pixel count within 15 inches. The setting in options seems to make the screen that pixel count based on the current monitor being used. Make sense?

Hello.

To answer your first question, both the "Smart Sizing" and "Smart Reconnect" option which can be set in the properties under Display > Screen Sizing Mode will allow you to do this.

Secondly, I'd like to know more on what it is the user would like ? Does she want the session in full screen or does she wish to keep the entry embedded in RDM ?

She wishes to keep it embedded in RDM. Can I set "smart reconnect" as default for all connections that get synchronized into RDM?

So lets say a user sets their resolution in options:

They will get a window that looks like this:

How do they maintain that resolution but the screen fits the entirety of the docked window within RDM?

Hello,

Would it be okay with you if I opened a case so that we can then have a remote session ?

This would allow me to have a closer look at your issue, and perhaps even expedite a solution.

That would be great! If you could send me a calendly link or let me know the best way to connect

Hello,

Thank you for your time !

I'm glad we were able to find a suitable configuration using the undocked display setting and using the setting under the display tab to set an appropriate resolution for your needs.
