strange border on RDM published as a remote app in azure virtual desktop
This white border along the left and top edge of the application is causing problems. Mouse clicks in the User interface are about the same amount of pixels off from where your pointer is. I've never seen this in any other app published as a Remote App in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
Host is a Windows 11 21H2 Multi user image. If I connect to the desktop and start RDM it looks normal.
It looks normal as a remote app on a Windows 10 host
Hello Johan,
Could you try to set the "Optimize UI performance" to Yes under File > Options > Advanced? It will turn off some of the visual effects, which may help with your issue:

didn't help.
To clarify further. It only appears in a maximixed window. If I position the window manually I can get rid of the empty space and the mouse pointer is correctly positioned when I click.
here is a better screenshot of the entire screen. I have no windows behind this one and a dark background. The white only goes half way on the left, then you can see the background instead.
Hello,
Unfortunately, we do not have access to a Remote App in Azure Virtual Desktop. I will ask our QA team to try to replicate the issue.
Best regards,
Richard Boisvert
Thanks!
FYI: Azure Virtual Desktop is free, you only pay for compute, so you can test with a b2ms and aad login, user needs a M365 license though.
Hello,
Our QA team was unable to replicate the issue, unfortunately. Could you confirm RDM does not have the white lines if you are not running it in RemoteApp?
Best regards,
Richard Boisvert
yes in desktop mode the app looked normal and mouse clicks were correct in th UI. But I have since reinstalled the host to windows 10, so now I don't have a problem :)
Hello Johan,
Glad it is not an issue anymore after the reinstallation, we will close the case on our end.
Best regards,
