Open Embedded SFTP / SCP connections does not work with inherited credentials
Hello,
I have a folder called "Unix" on which I store "Embedded" credentials, all SSH Shell Sessions in this folder are set to use "Inherited" credentials.
I can connect to SSH Shell Sessions without problem and without entering credentials (due to inherirance), but I can't connect to SFTP/SCP using "Open Embedded SFTP connection" or "Open Embedded SCP connection" (right click on SSH Shell Session -> Open with Parameters -> ...)
If I remove inheritance and define credentials at SSH Shell Session level, I can connect without any problem using Open Embedded SFTP or SCP connection.
If I create a specific SFTP or SCP Session and use inhterited credentials it works as well.
It seems the credentials inheritance is not taken into account while using Open Embedded SFTP or SCP connection.
PS: sorry this should have been posted in Bug report section...

Hello Xavier,
Thanks for feedback, I've updated to the latest version 2022.3.16.1, unfortunately the issue is not resolved and I'd say is getting worse.
I've created SSH session like this:
Credentials are inherited from parent folder "LAB\Unix", all others parameters except Name / Host are default.
Folder:
I can open SSH session without any issue.
But still Open Embedded SFTP / SCP connections not working. It still fail with same error:
I've checked auth.log on the corresponding server and I don't see any log for this connection.
Now if I change setting in the "Ubuntu-Dev" session like this:
Also nothing in auth.log
Hello Geoffrey,
We will need a bit more informations if we want to correctly diagnostic your issue.
Did you set a proxy or a private key on your SSH connection?
Also, can you send us a screenshot of the advanced panel? It might help us with the diagnostic.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Michel Lambert
Hello Michel,
No proxy or SSH keys at the SSH connection. I've tried with simple SSH connection on the same subnet.
I'm not sure which Advanced panel you are referring to, here's the one at SSH connection level:
And here's the one from general settings:
