We have Secondary Credentials stored in Custom sensitive fields in credential type but we can't access them on a connection as we cant find a way to inherit the credential custom field allowing for secondary passwords to be stored in credential types.

Hello,

Thank you for your request. First, I would like to understand more what you are trying to achieve. Why do you store a secondary credential in the custom fields ? Why don't you create a separate connection for those credentials ?

We have devices that have two passwords one to access and one to elevate to Admin. Only other sensitive field we could find other than Password were in custom fileds. But we can't use a custom field in a credential to be called in a connection.

Hello,

If I understand correctly, you would like to be able to link a credential with a connection and when you launch that session, you would like to be able to select if you want to use the first or the second password, is it correct ? Have you ever tried a password list to store your both password, could it work ?

Can we pivot this request.

Allow Management Tools>Tools Credentials to be set to inherited
Added Management tools to Folder level

So we can set a management tool password at the folder level to affect multiple devices

Hello,
I will create a feature request to implement the inherited in Management Tools and include the Folder

Hello,

The inherited mode has been added to RDM and will be available in the next major release (2024.2).
