Hi, I have updated to version 2022.3.29.0 and program doesn't start anymore. I cannot install a new version, it asks me to uninstall first. Can I do it without losing all my remote machines?
Thanks in advance.
Hello Mauricio,
Uninstalling the application will not remove the local configurations, but it is safer to make a backup, just in case. You can follow these steps to make a complete backup:
The most important file is the connection.db, if using the default SQLite data source, since it contains all your entries. Note that if you use Devolutions Online Drive or Password Hub Personal as a data source, all the information is in the cloud.
If you still have issues starting the application after the reinstall, would it be possible for you to create a portable installation of the latest version of RDM and see if this issue still occurs? To do so, you will need to do the following:
1- Download the .zip file below:
https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/thankyou/rdmbin
2- Create a new folder on your Desktop
3- Extract the content of the .zip file into the folder created at #2
4- Go to this folder once the .zip file has been extracted and run remotedesktopmanager.exe
This test will allow us to rule out your local installation of RDM as a possible cause for your issue.
