I just tested it on my end, with an existing SSH entry, and a new one with default settings, and selecting the text and doing a right click performs a paste, as expected. The test was performed with RDM 2022.3.29 and DVLS 2022.3.7

Could you try to create a new entry and see if you have the same behavior? Are all users affected?

Yes, still confirmed. I used a new SSH connection, logged in, tried to highlight text, but when right-clicking RDM isn't using the copy buffer. Might be the local machine buffer possibly?

As a test, would it be possible for you to create a portable installation of the latest version of RDM and see if this issue still occurs? To do so, you will need to do the following:

1- Download the .zip file below:
https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/thankyou/rdmbin
2- Create a new folder on your Desktop
3- Extract the content of the .zip file into the folder created at #2
4- Go to this folder once the .zip file has been extracted and run remotedesktopmanager.exe
5- Connect to your data source, or add the SSH session in the local data source

This test will allow us to rule out your local installation of RDM as a possible cause for this issue.

Ran that as instructed and the issue remains. I did notice though this time, RDM is using the local computer buffer to paste content, not the highlighted text in the SSH session - if that makes sense.

What version were you using previously that did not have the issue?

The last changes in the SSH entries were made in the 2022.3.26 version, would it be possible to test it again with the prior release, 2022.3.24:

The "Copy text on selection" should be the only setting that affects the behavior, but it is already set to Yes. In the options, is the "Clipboard copy method" set to Legacy, under Clipboard > Advanced?


Anything else installed that could interfere with the clipboard, such as clipboard history in Windows?
