Licenses input

Hello, when I use a XML-Datasource, the Adminstration Toolbar misses the license tool. Is this intended? I configured a second source (SQlite), then the whole admin toolbar appeared.

Th and have a pleasant XMAS.

Hello Rainer,

Thank you for contacting us regarding this matter, and yes, it is intended.

Since the 2022.3 release, you need to assign the Team (Enterprise) license directly in the data source, it can no longer be applied in RDM directly. As you noticed, since it is not possible to assign a license in an XML data source, you would need to use an SQLite data source instead. The only other individual data source that supports a Team license is Devolutions Password Hub Personal.

Once you have your new data source, you can follow this KB to migrate your data from your XML to your SQLite: https://kb.devolutions.net/rdm_data_migration.html

You can then enter your license key under Administration > Licenses. You will be all set at this point!

Hello, thanks for the clarification and have a nice XMAS. Is it possible to encrypt SQLite? AFAIK it is not encryptable, or am I wrong?

Hello Rainer,

By default, the passwords are already encrypted, but you can fully encrypt the SQLite data source by setting a password under File – Manage Password.

For more information, please refer to https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/datasource_sqlite.html

Happy Holidays!

Hello, but not wholly encrypted like a XML-File?

Hello Rainer,

Only the sensitive information is encrypted after applying the password for a SQLite database, so it is not the same level of encryption as an XML file.
