Adding other "Built-In" fields on csv Import

Adding other "Built-In" fields on csv Import

avatar

Good morning all.

I am trying to do a csv import adding additional fields such as OS Version, CPU Count, RAM (stuff under the assets section of an entry) from an RVTools report.

Is there any way to do so with something like the attached? I am presuming no.

Thank you for your assistance!

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us on that matter!

Would it be possible for you to follow the steps listed in the link below to adapt the format of your CSV file? Once this is done, you should be able to import it in RDM without issues: https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/importcsv_strategies.html

Let us know if that helps!

Best regards,

Thank you, sir!

I didn't even think of the "MetaInformation\*" that is in the URL you pointed out.

I also just came across PowerShell Scripting - Tips and tricks (remotedesktopmanager.com) just a couple minutes ago.

I see something like below, so I will combine your response to what I found, and hopefully will be able to import what all is needed.
<OS>Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter</OS>
<SerialNumber>VMware-42 00 44 19 0c 58 7f 09-2d 2a 2d f5 6b 34 2d 6a</SerialNumber>
<SocketCount>1</SocketCount>

Thank you for the response, James.

Have a great day, and Merry Christmas!
