Offline mode, query for updating the vaults Time-adjustable

Hello Devolutions Team,

we would find it useful if the query whether the vaults should be updated could be time-limited.

Example: an input field where days can be entered how often the query should take place.

This setting should apply globally.

Thanks

Hi Waldemar,

The idea is interesting.

If I'm understanding the request properly, you would want a configurable option something like: "force vault refresh X days prior to offline expiry". This would prevent a user from going offline with a vault which is about to expire (next hours/day(s)) since it hasn't been referenced(refreshed) for a few days.

For now, I would suggest you enable "Prompt refresh all vaults on startup" in Administration > System Options > Cache/Offline.

Or use CTRL+SHFIT+F5(Refresh) this will cycle all vaults and refresh them. Only dot this while online, since we clear and reload all the vault data.

Note: Our goal is to one day be able to refresh vaults in the background, once this is possible, your option idea and others all become much easier to implement.

Hello Stéfane,

as soon as the offline mode is active, I get a query every time I start

up, asking whether the vaults should be updated.

It would be cool if I could set this query to appear only every x days, and

not at every start.

Hi Waldemar,

The suggestion has been noted. The entire Prompt refresh all vaults on startup feature is a big hack to circumvent the fact that we can't (at the moment) refresh vaults in the background, once that we have the ability then the entire feature will change to be much more user-friendly.
