Password List popup with AutoFill and Password in variable

Hi all,

I have a strange issue, hopefully you can help me out.
I have got a website linked to a reference list as shown in the attachments.
Since I need a macro to logon to this site, I have enabled the checkbox "Allow password in variable" in the Security Settings.

As soon as this checkbox is enabled, opening a new Chrome tab results in the Password List popping up. So also when trying to open www.devolutions.net or any other site.
Turning the checkbox off, it does not popup anymore.
Changing the Compare type to Exact does not make any difference.

Please note that logging in to my portal with the macro works fine.

Can you reproduce this and help me out?
RDM version 2022.3.24.0 (had this since at least 2022.2.23.0) and Chrome extension v2022.3.0.3.

Hello,

Out of curiosity, was the autofill failing on whatever website it is that you're trying to login to ?

I'm trying to understand why it is that you need a macro to login ?

Yes, somehow after filling the username, the field empties again. It is a SonicWall portal site for SSL VPN.

Hello Sander,

With the latest RDM version 2022.3.29, no matter if the option Allow password in variables is enabled or disabled, I will be prompted to select the credential from the PasswordList entry.

To prevent this prompt, a credential must be selected in the Credentials property of the Web Site entry.

Hi Érica, thanks for your answer.

But if I select a username here, the password list functionally doesn’t work anymore right?
I've got a list of multiple accounts and want to make the selection for the user currently connecting.

Hello Sander,

That's right if an account is selected, then the prompt for the Password List won't occur anymore.

In fact, as mentioned in my previous post, I'm unable to reproduce your problem.

Are you able to reproduce the issue with the latest RDM 2022.3.29?
