RDM Version Control Issues

avatar

Hi, I access RDM from multiple computers, and whenever that prompt pops up about version control, I always choose "Automatic". I've never had any issues, until this morning on one of my computers it's telling me:

"An administrator has enabled Remote Desktop Manager Version Management on data source xxxxx. You are not allowed to connect with version '2022.3.24.0', please contact your administrator.

How can I resolve this? And furthermore, how can I prevent this from happening moving forward?

Hello,

As an administrator, you can still connect to your data source to change the version management. Could you go to Administration > Server Settings > Version Management, and then either change the version, or if you do not wish to use the feature anymore (not recommended), you can remove the checkmarks next to the minimum and maximal versions.

Hello, I can confirm this error.

We are Using MS-SQL as Datasource. As far as I can remember, somewhere in v 2022 this Problem acured the first time: It doesn' t matter which version we are on, 1 or 2 times per month the versionmanagement resets itself to active with a maximum version below the current one. All users (custom / devolutions) are thrown out. We must reconnect with a Database user (SQL Server) and turn off or adjust the version Management again. Seems like a bug to me
