Multiple user access to server

Multiple user access to server

avatar

Hello, we are using Remote Desktop Manager to access to Virtual Server that has 2 users. As number of people who are access Server is 5, some of them using the same User credentials. For example we give User 1 (RDM selection) to two people. The issue is that if one of the person already using Server the second can still login using same RDM selection but no programs can be open in Server. Is there are any options how we can prevent it, so RDM will notify that User is already online? Thank you.

Hello,

which RDM version and data source you are currently using?

It's indeed possible to get a notification, when the session is already opened by another user:

Properties of the session => Logs => Warn if already opened

We use 2022.121.0. I could not find Properties of the session => Logs => Warn if already opened. We don't have Logs in Properties.

Hello,

Thank you for your swift reply and for this screenshot.

Unfortunately, the "logs" section is not available in the free version of RDM.
Since more than one user is using RDM, I recommend opting for the Team version of the product.

Let us know if you have more questions on that matter.

Best regards,
