Bring back ConnectWise Control

Unfortunately it was not our decision. There is no known way of doing the integration. Do you have an idea how we could achieve the integration?

According to the previous post about it being deprecated it was because it was not used much. Are you saying that there were other reasons?

I would assume you could use the API the same way LabTech/Automate and ITBoost use it to launch ScreenConnect.

I bought this program under the impression that it was supported.

Is there a version of RDM that I can roll back to, to gain access to this? I daily drive SC and thought integration into RDM was a match made in heaven.

I would really appreciate it if the team would consider bringing it back in [Deprecated] at the very least.

I know many MSPs who daily drive SC and it would be good to know why it was removed, as I can't really find an explanation anywhere.

Hello,
Our original integration was based on the Screen Connect API and it was nearly impossible to maintain it. Connect Wise was not keeping the compatibility and it was always broken. They have now an official partner program and we plan to bring back the integration. It will be officially supported. I hope to have good news in Q2 2023.

We just signed up for ConnectWise control, so I'm interested in seeing what this integration brings.

I would be very interested in this, please let me know if you need Beta testers, I have participated in several Beta releases and would love the chance to help bring this forward. This would be huge for my current employer. We have over 1,000 active/online endpoints in our ConnectWise Automate

So I found a work around for using ScreenConnect in RDM.
You can created a weblink to device.

If device is already listed in your Access list click on it and the URL is going to be at the top of the page.

Umm ConnectWISE... HELLO?! It's embarassing that we don't have a working ScreenCONNECT RDM PLUG-IN. Why is it that when I administer my ScreenConnect server... browse plug-ins... I can clearly SEE and INSTALL the "Remote Desktop Manager" PLUG-IN. On my screenconnect server... the plug-in is clearly THERE and ENABLED. Only for me to attempt connection setup inside RDM and find no corresponding RDM screenconnect PLUG-IN ?
Someone needs to get their act together!

Thank you for this Tip. It is important to note that the "Join" in the URL must be written with a capital Letter, "join" does not work. There are more possibilities in the end of the following reddit discussion:

Yeah, it’s absolutely not worth that. It’s a nice to have, not a must have.

"might be" - definitely is frustrating - both sides need to negotiate better clearly.

I'm not paying for a useless program. I would be open to paying an add-on fee to access Screenconnect in RDM, and if that entire fee went to ConnectWise, then that would be better than a % of the entire sales of your product. Both parties are running different businesses - surely you both can work it out for the benefit of your customers, I'm saying that to both CW & Dev.

The workaround is what a few other platforms have done and I haven't used it once.

This thread pisses me off !!!
