I need some help to configure it ?

Olivier
Hello,
Thanks for reaching out.
Depending on the tool you are using, it is possible to configure a SSH Tunnel / VPN Connection prior to reach the database server.
We do integrate HeidiSQL in RDM, you only need to install the third party application, and activate the Add-on From Tools > Add-on Manager in RDM.
You can then refer to https://kb.devolutions.net/rdm_setup_ssh_tunnel.html to setup the tunnel and configure it to establish the connection prior to connecting HeidiSQL to you MaraiDB.
I hope this helps, thanks for letting us know.

Hi,
Thanks for the link. But in my case, the remote host is the same server run SSH and Maria DB. And this is a Linux server.
Can you help me more about SSH tunnel through Linux server.
Do you have a documentation to create a remote session with HiediSQL ? The host where run MariaDB is a linux server.
Regards
/Olivier
Hello Olivier,
Since Heidi SQL is a database management tool, it is quite flexible. The host OS has little to do with its utilization on RDM.
Therefore, the method specified in the article above applies really nicely.
However, if you need to access the server's console (through SSH Shell), it's quite the same, but instead of an Heidi SQL entry, a good'ol SSH Shell will do it, with the SSH Shell prior to connecting, in the same fashion as described.
If ever you still have questions that I don't seem to wrap my head around, feel free to open a case with us : service@devolutions.net
