Change to Vault tab when typing in Search box. Feature Request? Bug Report? Both?

I spend most of my day on the Favorites tab in RDM because I use the same servers over and over. However, every once in a while I have to use a different server for whatever reason. Instead of trying to scroll through hundreds of servers in the Vault Tree, it's far faster to just type the name into the search box.
The problem is that typing into the Search box doesn't work on the Favorites tab. No matter what I type, it doesn't search/filter the items listed on the Favorites tab. If I then click to the Vault tab, it clears out the Search box and I have to type it in again. This is very annoying since I usually forget to change tabs first.
Since searching/filter on the Favorites tab doesn't work anyway, I'd love to see something where if I'm on the Favorites tab, and I start typing in the Search box, RDM would automatically change me to the Vault tab and show me the results I'm looking for.
On the Mac version of the software, when I manually change from the Favorites tab to the Vault tab, after typing into the search box, it keeps what was in the box and filters the results when the Vault loads. The PC version does not do that and I have to type the results again. Maybe that part of this is a Bug and not a Feature Request. Even so, it'd be one less step if the program could automatically change to the Vault tab when the Search box is used to make things even more automatic.
Hopefully that all makes sense.
Thanks.
You can disable the Clear filter on navigation pane tab change, this will not clear the filter when changing from Favorites to main vault.
As for not filtering the Favourites, we will investigate. I'm not sure what the intended behaviour should be.

Thanks. I found that setting and that fixed the problem.
To be clear, I don't want the search box to filter the Favorites tab. I don't have enough favorites to go off the screen so no real need to filter them. I do want the ability to manually rearrange the order of my favorites, but I think that's already been submitted as a feature request.
Thanks.
