Persist Search Terms

Is there a way/setting in the lower left search box on RDM 2021.2.23 to persist the search text/term while switching from Vault, User Vault, Favorites? It is a minor thing but I keep finding myself looking for a connection then remembering it is in a different vault and having re-enter the search string.

I looked into your request, and unfortunately was not able to find a way to get the search box's content to persist after changing vaults. I will verify with our engineering team if I could open a feature request ticket to implement an option to conserve the search box's content when switching vaults.

Hello,
Embarrassingly, it turns out that we do have options to prevent the search box from being emptied, I just didn't use the right terms to look for those options.
In File > Options > User Interface > Filter, there are checkboxes for four different "Clear filter on" options which, when disabled, will prevent the search bar from being emptied when the corresponding action occurs.
